Friday Favorites {10.09.20}

Happy Friday, friends!! I can’t believe it’s the end of another week. I am excited to link up with Erika and Andrea for this week’s Friday Favorites. I have some fun things to share with you today so grab your coffee and let’s get started.

ONE

I first saw the multicolor glitter bracelets when Shay shared them a while back. They were out of stock so I wasn’t able to order them then, but I checked back last week and they were available again. Not only did I order those, but I also ordered the ones with the multicolor beads in them and the black ones. I am loving them! So much fun to throw them on even with a casual outfit like jeans and a white t-shirt.

The weather has been amazing and I’ve loved adding a couple of fall transitional pieces to my wardrobe. These were my favorites from this week.

The girls and I went to H&M and I scored the white and cream colored sweaters off their clearance rack. They are going to definitely be some core pieces this fall and winter.

The blue short sleeve sweater is from Wal-Mart and I think I’m definitely going to order another one in a different color. It runs true to size and is $14.96!!

Last month I bought a pair of leggings from Lululemon and they have become my absolute favorite. Since we are in HHI this week, I decided to buy another pair and ended up buying two more! I know the price tag on Lulu is a little high, but I wear my leggings for years and these stand the test of time. In the bottom middle picture, I am wearing the green pair with a short sleeve crop top from Lulu as well.

And lastly, who doesn’t love a good plaid shirt?! Most of mine are from Old Navy. I normally try to buy some when they are on sale . I threw mine on with a white tank top and my jean shorts to run errands on our first day here.

THREE

I ran into CVS to buy contact solution and this make up line caught my eye. I’ve been looking for a good neutral color lipstick and this one looked fun. I actually love it! I do add a little bit of gloss or run my chapstick over it after I apply it. This color is ‘Sup Nude?.

FOUR

I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on my bright yellow slippers. I bought them on Amazon and love the color. They are just bright and yellow and they make me happy!

FIVE

Outside of our condo, there is a big beautiful tree. I’ve wanted a picture in front of it since we bought our place. Last night after dinner, we came home and my mother and sister in law took a couple of us!

SIX

My most favorite thing of the week was the memories we made with our family. Joseph’s sister and her family came to stay with us and then his mom, stepdad and 91 year old papa joined us for the second half of the week. Y’all, we couldn’t believe papa came and he sat on the beach with us for two whole days! We had the best time watching him and spending time with him. I am so thankful for our family and for the way that 2020 has brought us back together and reminded us that family is everything.

I didn’t blog much this week, but I just decided to take the time to truly live in the moment. I didn’t work out as much as I normally do on vacation, but when I said something about that, my sister in law reminded me that when we are 91 years old we aren’t going to regret not working out on vacation. We probably won’t even remember that we didn’t work out, but what we will remember are the memories we made with our family. God is teaching me all about balance and how even good things can become bad when we obsess and over do those things. I can get so wrapped up in my busy schedule that I forget to stop and just enjoy the moment. God reminded me of this as I laid down to go to sleep thinking about all the things on my to-do list that I had not done while here. As I opened my book, The Fight to Flourish, I read, “God reminded me of not just showing up but being fully present in a moment. When we turn up and stand out, God often has something special for us and for someone through us. No matter what’s going on in our lives, we can sow kindness and generosity. We can pour into others instead of retreating into our busy schedules and even our pain.” That was the exact reminder I needed. I don’t want to miss a memory! I want to be in the moment, always!

And that wraps up this Friday Favorites! I enjoyed sharing my fun finds. Thank you for reading and stopping by my blog today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!! XO
