Can we talk about shackets??? Anyone else loving this fashion trend?
Wal-Mart seriously has the BEST ones! And y’all, they are $14.98!! Here’s the link!
I’m telling you, you will not regret it! They are so soft and warm.
Yesterday on my Instagram, I shared a quick makeup routine video. I literally had 10 minutes to get ready so I stepped out of my comfort zone to show you how I apply a quick face. Here’s the link to watch.
And here are all the products I used. Some of the products are older so I linked some that are similar.
Anyone else love pinks and reds??? I LOVE how my mani turned out. It’s perfect for V-day!
These sneakers are in my list of favorites, too! I love the platform version because let’s face it, this girl needs all the help I can get in the height department.
Oh and speaking of pinks and reds, I had breakfast with a sweet friend yesterday and she surprised me with this super cute coffee mug.
Y’all know my love for mugs!
And babes, that’s all I have this week. Next week, Joseph and I are headed to check on our beach house in Hilton Head. They are just about finished with all of the renovations and I can’t wait to see it in person.
Today, I am linking up with Andrea and Erika for our Friday Favorites.
Let’s do this!
First things first. Last week, I shared with y’all that I am now an ambassador for The Mint Julep Boutique.
Well, I have great news! They are having a great sale this weekend. It’s their Buy One, Get One Free – Sale Collection.
What a great deal! You can click here to shop their boutique.
Here are a couple of outfits I bought this month.
Happy shopping, friends!!
Y’all. My sweet baby turned TEN this week. TEN!! How did this happen?! All the Eterno kiddos are officially in the double digits.
As always, you get donuts on your birthday!
My current favorite coffee creamer. This week we also shared our coffee bar area. If you missed my post, you can catch up here.
Speaking of coffee…. bought this mug at Target this week. Love the yellow and red and the font of the “E.” I just love the Opalhouse brand!
I ran out of my normal mascara and needed something I could pick up locally. I picked up this L’Oréal mascara at CVS. And y’all. It’s worked so good. And it’s a lot cheaper than the ones I normally buy.
I think I’m realizing that it’s all about the primer. I love this one. I’ve used it for a while now and have seen such a difference! It also helps with lengthening and thickening your lashes.
And last, but not least. I love Lysa Terkeurst. And this book is one I am so excited to start. I’m doing it as a study with Proverbs 31 Ministries.
Tuesday, I shared four of my favorite Bible studies and I also shared the link to join this study! You can read the post here. I’d love for you to join me!
And that’s it’s for today! We have a busy weekend full of basketball and I’m hoping to finally tackle the girls’ playroom. Wish me luck, ha!
I hope you have the BEST day, babes!!

It has felt like the longest week. Im going to sit in front of the tv, in my pjs with a fire tonight and I can’t wait, ha!
Today is also the first Friday Favorites of 2021! If you’re new around here, on Fridays I link up with Erika and Andrea and share a couple of our favorite things from the week.
Let’s get started!
I am so excited to share that I am now an ambassador for The Mint Julep Boutique. I have a couple of items being delivered today and I can’t wait to share them with you!
You can follow them on Instagram, here. I would love for you to use my referral link to shop!
I am so excited about this! They have such cute styles and I can’t wait to share them with you!
Yesterday, I shared on my Instagram stories how I struggle with heavy or stud earrings. They don’t sit on my ear and hang off of it. It’s so frustrating.
I did some research and discovered these and y’all, they are awesome!
I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to actually find a solution. I’ve been wearing them for about two weeks and so far they’ve held up well.
Over Christmas break, we got “the virus” and ended up quarantined for just about our entire break. I’m a terrible sick or injured person because I hate to sit still. So during my bouts of energy, I decided to completely organize my closet. Not sure what I was thinking, but now I’m so happy that I did.
Yesterday, I shared a picture on my Instagram stories and so many of you asked about my jeans in the background. When searching for organization tips, I found this video on how to hang your jeans. The video is a little long so I’m sharing a picture sequence on how to do it.
Here’s how you do it:
Fold your jeans in half.
Grab the two belt loops on the right side.
Hook your hanger through the front two belt loops. I use the velvet hangers.
Fold jeans at the knee and fold hem over the hanger and voila!
I’ve always wanted to read through the entire Bible and have always failed. I’d set out to read it at the beginning of the year and would quit not even a week in.
Last month, I asked for recommendations on guides to read the Bible in one year and this was, by far, the most recommended plan!
Now, you do not need this book to follow the guide! You can go to your Bible app and search it in plans and follow it that way.
This book is very similar to their daily podcast. Almost identical to be honest. So if you don’t want to get the book, just go through the app and listen to the podcast.
The awesome thing about the book and podcast is that it’s a recap of each day’s reading. So it’s like a devotional after you read your chapters. It explains a little bit of what you read. This has really kept me engaged.
If you want to join our group in the Bible app, click here. We are on day eight so there’s time to catch up!
I shared this in my Instagram stories, yesterday. Who’s with me?!
I am loving my new Nike Air Force I shoes that Joseph bought me for Christmas! And as always, Lululemon leggings are my fave! I’ve had these for over six years and they are still in great condition!
I completed this outfit with my new favorite jacket from Target.
The material is so soft! You can dress it down or up depending on what mood you’re in!
And that’s all I have for today!
Y’all. It’s Friday!! I hope you have the BEST weekend!!
P.S. This post contains affiliate links. Thanks for supporting my blog!
We made it! It’s Friday and this afternoon officially kicks off CHRISTMAS BREAK for our family. I don’t know about you, but I think I look forward to the break more as an adult than I did when I was a kid ha!
Today is also my final FRIDAY FAVORITES post of 2020 because next Friday is CHRISTMAS! Y’all, I’m so excited!!
As always, I’m linking up with Erika and Andrea and sharing a couple of my favorites for the week. Let’s do this!
On Friday, Joseph and I celebrated our 16th anniversary with some of our good friends. When I posted this picture on my Instagram, a couple people asked about my dress. Well, I bought it at H&M for $17.99!!! Yes! You can find it here.
I am loving my Nativity set by Willow Tree. I shared a little about it here.
It’s on my foyer table and it’s the first thing I see when I come downstairs. I feel like it just puts me in a good mood as it reminds me why Christmas is truly about.
I know I’ve shared this multiple times, but I just can’t tell you enough how much I’ve loved doing this Advent study.
This year I set out to truly enjoy Christmas and this is the number one reason that’s happened. I’ve also loved meeting with local friends to discuss each week. It’s been so so good for me.
This was my first year doing an Advent study and it definitely won’t be the last.
Tuesday was my daddy’s birthday and every year on his birthday, we get together and make his pizza.
Dad made this pizza all the time. He loved inviting people over to our house and making it for them. Now it’s something he’s remembered for and I love that.
Dad was so special and I blogged about his life here.
Mary wanted some boots like my Madden Girl ones, but I couldn’t find them in her size anywhere. Earlier this week, I stopped by our local Walmart and was so excited to find these! And the best part we’re that they were marked down to $19!
So of course, I bought them in both colors!
And that’s all I have today, y’all! Short and sweet today.
Happy Friday, friends!!! I’m so happy it’s the weekend. Joseph and I were heading out of town for our anniversary, but life is so crazy right now that we decided to stay around here instead. My mom and sister are taking over kid duties for us today and giving us the day to celebrate so I’m excited about that!
I’m an early riser and normally do my quiet time and have my cup of coffee alone, but today Joseph joined me!
16 years, guys! I am so thankful for the journey we’ve been on and how God has worked in our lives. This morning as we sat and drank coffee, we reminisced on the past years. We’ve gone through so much. But through the valleys and mountain tops of life, he’s always been my constant. He’s not only my husband, but he’s my best friend. I love this quote because I truly believe it’s true:
It is not a lack of love, but a lack of friendship that makes unhappy marriages. (Friedrich Nietzsche)
Here are a couple of pictures from our family session. Gosh, I love him so much!
I can’t wait to spend the day with him.
But anyways, I chased a squirrel there ha! Today is Friday and I am linking up with Erika and Andrea for Friday Favorites!
Today I’m sharing some current and past faves of mine as gift ideas for Christmas. Guys, Christmas is two weeks away!
Alright, let’s do this!
I am loving these graphic tees. I’ve bought them at Target, H&M and local boutiques. This one is my current fave and it’s from a local boutique, Polished Chic. If you are local, definitely go and check them out.
Also, I’ve been putting off trying the faux leather leggings by Spanx and I don’t even know why I’ve waited so long! My sister always talks about how much she loves hers and I finally gave in and bought a pair. I LOVE them!
I’ve seen all the influencers sharing this shacket. I tried to buy it online a couple of weeks ago, but they were all sold out. While I was Christmas shopping the other day, I went into H&M and they had them in stock!
Also, look at this jean jacket I found at Marshall’s! Y’all, I had a very similar one when I was in middle school. It’s so fun and I love it. Jean jackets are definitely in this year. I love that this one is a bit more sporty and a little longer.
Next up is this sherpa jacket from Old Navy. It’s on sale online, but I actually got it way cheaper at the store. They have a lot of clearance right now in Commerce.
Also, loving this leopard print shacket from H&M. And all of these outfits were paired with my new Air Force One Nikes! Y’all, if you are looking for a fun shoe, these are it. And if you buy them through Rack Room, you can take advantage of the BOGO 50% off special they always have.
Every morning I look forward to my quiet time, worship music and my coffee. It’s no secret that I love mugs and this one is my current fave!
Earlier this year, Mix and Match Mama shared these bracelets. They were multicolor and I thought they were so fun. I decided to get a couple of different colors. I am loving these and apparently they are in style! Polished Chic has some if you are looking for them.
You know I love my Lululemon leggings. Always a great gift idea for your teens and adults!
And, Aerie has some great leggings as well. And they are 50% off right now! You’re welcome 😉!
I am loving dainty gold necklaces right now. And I really like the way they look layered. I’ve bought most of mine on Amazon and surprisingly, they have been great. Here’s a set if you are looking for one. My current fave is the this one.
And, finally if you are looking for a stocking stuffer or last minute item, this one is awesome. It will wipe every bit of your make up off with just water. No soap necessary. I bought one for Mary to use for her mascara and it works great. Just a tip though, you need to wash frequently! I wash mine every two days.
And that wraps up this week’s Friday Favorites!
I’m headed out to spend the day with my hubby! I hope y’all have an amazing weekend!
P.S. this post contains affiliate links. Thank you for supporting my blog!
Whoa! Is it really Friday?! Honestly I can’t believe it. This week went by so fast.
On Fridays, I link up with Andrea and Erika to share our favorites from the week. I started thinking about the week and what favorites I could share with you all and y’all, I got nothing haha! I really dropped the ball this week, guys.
But I tried my best to think about my favorites this week and here is what I’ve got!
I’ve noticed a couple of Instagram bloggers sharing their new favorite drinking cup. If you don’t know by now, I love coffee mugs but I also love water bottles 😬🤦🏻♀️. I have a problem, y’all.
I can’t remember what the brand name of the cup, but apparently it sells out super fast. I went to the website to buy one and they were almost $50! Yeah, no thank you 🤣.
But. I found a look alike! I was at Kroger yesterday and it caught my eye. It’s the exact same thing. Different brand, of course. And y’all, it’s half the price!
I love my Yeti water bottle, but it doesn’t fit in my cup holder in my car. Also, does anyone else agree that it’s easier to drink water with a straw? I just drink more when I have a straw! Hubby thinks it’s just an excuse to buy another cup, but I told him it’s really a thing. Help me out here! Haha!
You can buy it from Amazon! Buuuuut it’s cheaper at Kroger and Target 🤷🏻♀️.
I also love that it’s 40 oz because my goal is to drink 100 oz of water everyday. So two of these and my pre workout and I’ve got all my water for the day.
Last night, our Keller Williams home office hosted our End of the Year Gala and it was an amazing event. We had so much fun with our team. I think we are a pretty good looking group, don’t you?!
Also, Joseph told me we looked like we were going to two different events. We realized last night that we haven’t replaced his nice pair of black shoes so he had nothing to wear with his suit. But I still think he looked great!
And I loved my dress from H&M! I love a sequins dress, don’t you?!
I love a cozy blanket and this one does not disappoint. This summer, my sister in law, Katie brought one of these to the beach. It was soooo soft! I loved how thin it was because it made traveling with it easy. Y’all! When our local boutique store had these, I had to buy one!
These would make the best Christmas gifts. They are so soft and cozy. My kids love to travel with their blankets and these are perfect because they take up less space. My sister in law, Beth, says she puts hers in her pillow when she travels! You can buy them on their website here. Or if you are local, Polished Chic still had some last week!
I am loving all of the Christmas decorations around our house. Sitting by the tree and the fire at night watching a Christmas movie with the kiddos has been my favorite thing to do!
Our favorite movie so far is The Princess Switch. We are watching the second one this weekend. Have you watched them?
And last but not least, it’s my favorite nieces birthday today!!! She is TWO!
Happy Birthday to our sweet, Mila Jean!!!! We love you to the moon and back! I can’t wait to celebrate you this weekend!
And that’s all I have for this week! I did pretty good didn’t I 🤪?!!
Y’all! It’s December! I don’t know why but that just makes me so happy.
I hope y’all have the BEST weekend!

Happy Friday, friends!!! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I’m so sad that the week has come to an end. I’ve loved having my kiddos at home, but it makes me look forward to Christmas break!
On Fridays I link up with Erika and Andrea for a fun Friday Favorites post. So grab your coffee or drink of choice and let’s get started!
This week has been so busy in the real estate world and we’ve been wrapping up a couple of projects and deals. After what seemed like a never ending day, I finally had about 45 minutes to sit out on the back deck and read for a little bit.
I am still loving our screened in porch and I’m currently reading You be You by Jamie Ivey. I definitely recommend it!
A couple of weekends ago, we went to a wedding in Dillard, Ga at Julep Farms. Y’all. It was the cutest venue. They also have cottages that you can rent out to stay overnight. They have a small restaurant and the cutest little store.
I’ve been on the hunt for a large charcuterie board and found this one there for less than $45! I couldn’t believe it because boards this size normally run between $80-$100.
We used it for the first time yesterday during our Thanksgiving dinner. My sister in law did an awesome job putting it together!
A couple of weeks ago, a blogger on Instagram (Loverly Grey) shared this dress and I immediately went online and purchased it. It’s from Nordstrom Rack and it’s under $40! It’s definitely a dress that I’ll be able to wear for years to come. We have a formal event coming up so that’s why I originally bought it. But then I decided to wear it for our family picture session. If you are looking for a fun formal dress, this one is perfect and you can’t beat the price!
A couple of ladies and I started this Advent study this week. So far I am loving it. I love having a Bible study to guide me through my quiet time in the mornings.
Last night before dinner, my sister came in and told us all to go outside for family pictures because the sun was setting and the lighting was perfect.
She was so right! I loved the pictures she took.
She has a professional camera and really wants to start her own photography business. She’s a natural at it and I think she should totally go for it.
And that’s all I have today!
I hope y’all have a GREAT Weekend!

Then I use Clinique’s Clarifying Lotion. It’s meant to be used twice a day, but I normally only use it at night unless I have any active breakouts.
I always moisturize after. Right now in the mornings, I’ve started using Cetaphil’s Deep Hydration Healthy Glow Daily Face Cream. After my facial a couple of weeks ago, my friend Taylor mentioned my skin being a bit dry and suggested I moisturize heavily. So far I’ve loved this one and can really see a difference in my skin.
In the evenings I’ve started using, Mario Badescu’s Protein Night Cream. I’m loving this one as well. I feel like the combination of both moisturizers has really helped my skin.
For my skin, consistency is key. As long as I am washing my face in the morning and evenings, my skin stays healthy. I do have occasional breakouts here and there but it’s normally because I’m not washing my face or drinking enough water.
Our FAVORITE babysitter got married this weekend. I wrote all about it in my Weekend Wrap-Up post.
I’m reading a couple of books right now, but this one is my current favorite.
So, without further ado, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea for Friday Favorites!
Let’s do this!
I am slowly putting up my Christmas decorations. For me, this is super early but as everyone is saying, “it’s 2020 and everything goes!”
I bought this flocked tree last year from Walmart. I always said I’d never have a flocked tree and I’m so glad I went back on my word. I have to add burlap to the foot of the tree and decide if I’m decorating it this year. I loved it just like this last year. Something about the simplicity of it is just beautiful to me.
How do you decorate your flocked tree?
Jojo and my nephew had their first basketball games this past weekend. I just love seeing them grow up together!
I mean look how much they’ve grown!
I just love their friendship so much!!
This girl rocked it on the soccer field this weekend! She played three games, one of those for the age group above hers and scored a total of nine goals!
I love her heart for this game, but most of all I love how much she loves her teammates.
She also loves having her family there to watch!
Thank you Papa, Nonnie and Aunt Kathy for coming!
Yesterday I shared my Christmas Gift guide for teachers. I asked my teacher friends on social media to give me some of their favorite gift ideas and they boy did they deliver! You can read all about it here.
On Wednesday we honored Veterans with the Hero WOD,
This workout was done in honor of “U.S. Army Specialist Donald L. Nichols, 21, of Shell Rock, Iowa, assigned to the 1st Battalion, 133rd Infantry Regiment, Iowa Army National Guard, based in Waterloo, Iowa, died April 13, 2011, in Laghman province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Roger and Becky Poock; his father and stepmother, Jeff and Jeanie Nichols; and his brothers, Nick and Joe.” (crossfit.com)
Hero WODs are always tough but some of my favorites.
Especially when I get to do them with my favorites!
I started CrossFit almost five years ago. I’ve had my ups and downs with it, but I am finally finding myself in it again.
I am still loving my lululemon leggings and wearing them almost everyday! I have them in several colors. The reason I’m sharing them today is because they are $30 off their regular price! Y’all. These are the best leggings. They stand the test of time, I workout in them and basically live in them. They are definitely worth the investment.
Speaking of good discounts. This dress from American Eagle is 60% off! It’s less than $25 after the discount.
It’s so versatile and wearable during every season. It’s still hot as you know what here in Georgia so I wore it without a sweater or jacket. But you can definitely layer it with an oversized sweater or Jean jacket. It’s super comfortable, too! I bought a small which is my true size and it fit great.
Well babes, that’s all I have this week. Thank you so much for reading.
I hope you have all have a wonderful weekend and I will see you back here on Monday!
This week has flown by. Anyone else feel like it was just Monday yesterday?
I wanted to thank you for all the prayers on Wednesday. Many of you reached out and told me you were praying for me and that meant so much. It’s been a hard week, but last night God reminded me that He is in control. He answered our prayers in a special way and for that I am so thankful.
Just like every week, I am linking up with Andrea and Erika today to share some of my faves!
Grab your coffee and let’s get started!
During quarantine, our neighborhood ladies started a book club and we’ve kept it going. This month we are reading Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell. Y’all. OMG. This book was sooooo good!
If you are looking for a really good suspense novel that is a quick and easy read, then this is it. I read this in a couple of days and that says a lot if I read a book that fast.
If you read my post from Monday then you’ve seen my next favorite.
I bought this dress on amazon for $25! This summer, I bought this same style but short sleeved. I love the long sleeve option.
My next couple of favorites are all from Target! A couple of weeks ago, Target was having a BOGO sale on their sweaters. I spotted this sweater and loved the bright pink color!
It is definitely BRIGHT, but I love it! I normally size up to a medium in sweaters because I like them a bit oversized, but I decided to stick to my size on this one and bought a small. I also bought the green one yesterday during their 20% off sale. It’s a great color for the holiday season!
If you follow me on instagram, you know that I’ve been training with Blaire since June. Blair is awesome. We follow the IIFYM plan which I’ve done for years and love. She gives me my macros along with a food plan. This was new for me, but I love to have it. It’s where she basically tells me what to eat for each meal. This is great for days when I don’t want to think about calculating my own food.
Along with my macros, she writes my workouts. I normally do these early in the morning. They focus on different muscles groups each day. Instead of cardio, I go to crossfit unless the WOD (workout of the day) is not very cardio heavy. On those days, I run or do a cardio circuit at home.
For years, I’ve always set up my macros to cut (get lean). And when it was time to reverse (add food) I would quit for a while and just eat what I wanted. In my mind, adding food freaked me out.
In a reverse, you gradually increase your calories throughout several weeks or months to help boost metabolism. In addition, the reverse can help normalize hormones. After cutting food for so long, your body begins to adjust to the number of calories you are taking in and it will plateau. The science behind this is incredible.
I say all this because after months and really years of being in a cut, it was finally time for a reverse. This is where I normally quit and convince myself that I can eat intuitively. But then I end up eating whatever I want and it doesn’t end well… So I decided to get out of my comfort zone and trust Blaire to guide me in the reverse. And y’all. We have almost doubled my food!!! I haven’t gained weight and I’ve seen some major changes in my body composition. I’ve also felt stronger and faster in the gym and I am loving crossfit once again. I can definitely feel the difference in my general mood too which means my hormones must be balancing out. It’s so awesome and I’ve decided that being in a reverse is my favorite thing right now, ha! More food, more strength and more energy? Yes, please!!
If you want to know more about IIFYM, send me a message or you can contact Blaire on instagram. I also love Quincey. She is great for those that are beginners in IIFYM. She’s full of knowledge!
My sweet neighbor and friend has started an online boutique, Lily + Rae. I bought these shoes and LOVE them!!
They are so fun!
And that wraps up this week’s favorites! Friends, I hope you have an AMAZING weekend!!
