Hitting the Pause Button

Morning, friends!!! I hope you had an amazing weekend. Ours was busy as they’ve all seemed to be lately. On Saturday, it rained all day and I’ve never been so thankful for the rain. Joseph’s tournament and Mackenzie’s game were pushed to Sunday and Jojo’s golf match was cancelled. We had a slow Saturday morning and even caught up on some laundry.

This week is already off to a crazy start. We have something every single evening and honestly I’m just taking it one day at a time. Our beach house is sold and we are closing on it next week so we will head down next Tuesday to finish up a couple of things before we sign on Friday.

The kids have FOUR weeks left of school so we are all into milestone testing and end of the year craziness. Honestly, I feel like I’m just holding on to dear life trying to get to summer. Dramatic? Yes, I know I am!

And this is just a little bit of what’s going on in the Eterno world. Believe me, you don’t want the whole 411! It’ll stress you out, haha!

With all that said, I’ve been thinking about this for a couple of days and I’ve decided to pause blogging for just a bit. Not for long, I promise! I just need a breather to get caught up and focus on a couple of things that need my attention.

I may still hop on here and there if I have something to share. I want to bring you my best and right now, I’m just a little overextended.

Thank you for always being so encouraging and supportive. I’ll still post on instagram so follow me there if you don’t!

I’m learning that it’s ok to take a break when needed. I know that you all will still be here when I come back!

I will talk to you soon, friends!

XO

Life Lately

Morning, friends! Happy March 1st! I can’t believe we are starting a new month. I’m excited and ready.

Today, I wanted to do a Life Lately post. I love writing these because my kiddos love looking back on them.

I hope y’all had a great weekend. Ours was very laid back and chill, which isn’t normal for our crew since we are always on the go. But it was wonderful!

Friday night, Joseph and I went out with his sister and her husband. It was a much needed date night and a great way to start the weekend.

Saturday, we were completely free with nothing to do! We slept in, went for a four mile walk, ran a couple of errands and then sat on the couch and watched two movies! It was amazing. Nothing to do and no where to be.

One of the movies we watched was the one I told y’all about in my Friday Favorites post.

Y’all! It was such a good movie with a great message! It is PG-13, but I found it appropriate for our crew. My kiddos are 10,12 and 14 years old.

Sunday was such a good day. We had lunch at the club and then went to Lane Creek Golf Club to support Jojo in his first Golf tournament.

His main goal was to finally break 50 (they play 9 holes) and he did just that! He shot a 49. He had a really bad hole and got all in his head, but recovered and then was very proud of how he did. I’m looking forward to watching him continue to grow and learn.

I loved watching Joseph be his caddie. And this was one of my favorite pictures of the day.

I also told Joseph that the golf ball in his pants looked like he had some kind of growth on the side of his leg, ha!

When you have multiple kids, it’s so easy to divide and conquer even when the others don’t have anything to do. But we are really trying to do more as a family and going back to what we implemented a couple of years ago which is that:

Together is our Default.

I could’ve easily stayed home with the girls and gotten caught up on laundry or maybe just had a lazy Sunday. I could’ve left the girls with my mom so that they wouldn’t be “bored” or because it would’ve been easier for me.

I forget that they’re older and are no longer those babies that need a sitter. Or that need to stay home so that I can go with Joseph and Jojo.

So, we all went as a family. And I am so glad we did because we were able to spend the entire day together.

The girls were great and loved being there!

We even had my sister and her family come watch! And Mila Jean did great!

It was a great day!

So very thankful for my crew and how far we’ve come. Life isn’t perfect by any means. But I think that’s what makes life so great. The ups and downs. The good the bad. The hard and easy. We live, we learn and we love. That’s my crew ❤️.

I hope y’all have the BEST day!! I’ve got some fun things coming up this month and I can’t wait to share them with you.

XO
